Our Founder
MELISSA BANKO
A creative entrepreneur, interior designer, and business leader, Melissa Banko founded Banko Design in 2014 after more than a decade of experience in the interior design industry. Driven by a vision to elevate the standard of design across our focus verticals, she built a firm rooted in thoughtful design, operational excellence, and lasting client partnerships. What began as a single design studio has since evolved into BD Studio Collection, a house of brands dedicated to creating better living through design, procurement, leadership, and service.
As Founder, Visionary, and CEO of BD Studio Collection, Melissa remains actively involved in the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the organization. From cultivating client relationships and guiding business growth to overseeing design vision and brand development, she believes the best outcomes are achieved by staying engaged in the conversations that shape each project. With a background in fine arts and a passion for creating spaces that improve lives, Melissa brings both creative insight and business acumen to every opportunity, championing quality, stewardship, and a people-first approach to design.
